The Ron Howington Band
Born september 2nd 1962 in MacAurthor W. Va ( in a log cabin on Mabscott Hill ) Rons family moved to the Metro Detroit area when he was still a baby. Rons father David taught him his first chords on the guitar when he was just a small child. David Howington was a country and bluegrass picker and left a strong influence on rons music. Other influences include Bob Seger, Muddy waters ,Van Morrison, Ray Charles, Tower of power, Alabamba and many others. Unashamed of his working class upbringing, Rons original music is as honest as it is eclectic. The Ron Howington Band plays hard. Their love for the music is evident in their energy filled shows. Rons skill as a musician is undeniable, his original lyrics deep. The voice of the american working class singing honestly and Proudly. This is a band with something to say.
